This critical anthology mirrors the basic concepts Saffaro wanted to point out on the occasion of the anthological exhibition mounted in the Galleria d'Arte Moderna of Bologna in 1986. The texts are exclusively taken from those used for his personal exhibitions: Saffaro personally chose them until 1986, and they actually were the same as those used in the catalogue of the above mentioned exhibition. After that year, a similar selective choice has been made, since, as it had already occurred in the past, it was not possible to include all existing presentations.
